Union Bank of Cameroon Plc is presently in search of an Information Technology Officer in its head office, Douala -Cameroon.

Opportunity is open for both internal and external candidates

Main Mission

• The mission of the System Administrators to architect, build, operate and enhance infrastructure in support of the bank. System Administrator specializes in infrastructure that maximizes performance, security and availability, and operates at an enterprise scale
• To transform, inspire and enrich bank by delivering creative infrastructure solutions

Key Responsibilities:

System Administration

• Administer and support complete systems and user infrastructure in close compliance with IT standards.
• Administer a Microsoft server and virtualization environment (VMWare ESXi)
• Operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems solutions.
• Design and implement LAN and WAN public and private networks in branches
• Ensure timely backups of all necessary systems data
• Ensure high standards of systems availability across range of physical conditions
• Support all users, upgrade and maintain software ensuring that all workstations are virus free
• Provide hardware repair and support as needed
• Manage IT service providers to ensure provision of optimal service levels within the organization
• Train staff on use of various technologies in use
• Document office IT systems
• Adapt systems documentation as necessary

Position Requirements:

• Good knowledge on Computer Networking (Protocols, Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Firewall DNS, DHCP, etc…)
• Knowledge on MS Windows and Linux Servers Operating Systems
• Knowledge of AIX Operating system or equivalent
• knowledge of IBM P Series line of Servers
• Knowledge on MS Exchange 2013
• Good organizational and disciplinary skills
• Good aptitude of versatility
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work in project-mode
• Perfect mastery of the IT office environment

• Proactivity, cooperation and team spirit
• Undergraduate degree in Information Technologies related field
• Minimum of three(03) years IT/system administrator experience
• Being able to work under pressure
• Good command of English and French languages
